Does anyone remember children’s books about a robot spaceship from the late 80s?

There were two of them. One was a tour of the solar system. The other was a tour of the universe. The robot was a small toy that unfolded into a full-size spaceship in the shape of a robot. Please let me know if you know the title and/or author. I’d love to get copies of them again!

Children’s books about being different/Acceptance?

I’m looking for recommendations for kids books. I would like books that represent gay/lesbian families, other “different” families, different cultures, races, etc. I want them to be represented positively.

I’m really just trying to expand my child’s “library” If you have any other suggestions like what you childs fave book is. List it.
I wish I was cool enough to be an author. I didn’t pay enough attention during school. My grammar mistakes are evidence of that
Wow. So yeah I have books about counting and ABC’s. Typical children’s literature like Goodnight Moon. I was looking for something different to add. Something I may not have heard of.

You may not agree with it but I do not care. I see nothing wrong with a book normalizing different families in the eyes of my child. I hear about stories about kids going to school and making fun of other kids because they draw a family picture and it doesn’t match their own. My child will be raised by her white mom and dad. She’ll spend much of her life around the same set up. I want something else there besides me just telling her. From what I’ve seen with children already these types of talks don’t come up until the child is pointing it’s finger at a little person or whoever.

You can raise your child the way that you want. This is how I choose to raise mine. Nothing you can say will make me see how it could possibly be wrong.

Where do I find a community program or organization that would benefit from hundreds of children’s books?

We have hundreds of chapter books and picture books that we would like to turn into a Girl Scout Bronze Award project, but we don’t even know where to begin to look for a group of kids or an organization that would benefit from it. Where do you find out where those types of programs are?

Can you make decent money from writing children’s books?

I LOVE to write and always have. I have worked for newspapers in the past but now want to write a book. I like reading kids books so it makes since to write them but I dont know if you can really make any money at it. I have also wanted to write a novel. Will agents/publishers consider you if you were writing for more than one genre?
